The Trade Tent is the retail shop of The Ancient Technology Centre and is a small business actively supporting their work. We believe the any gift bought in association with the ATC should be in line with their ethos so we have endeavoured to hand produce and select quality items.

At The Trade Tent we hand make leather tankards, bags and pouches supported by archaeological finds from the Iron Age through to the Tudor periods in Britain and Northern Europe. We have also bought together additional goods to create an exiting range of historically based products suitable for adults to older children, re-enactors to historians or those who are looking for an elusive gift. We have also created several unique ATC branded gifts as a distinctive souvenir.

In addition to our web site at www.thetradetent.co.uk, we also have a handmade Anglo Saxon trader’s tent which we set up at all open events and residential groups. We support the ATC through spreading the word about the Centre via our site and financially – all sales of goods from The Trade Tent result in a contribution to the work carried out at the ATC.
